The sheer beauty and tranquility of the rainforest will take your breath away. There is a year-round creek meters from your pavilion where the water comes straight from the magnificent Mount Sorrow. Let the world wash away in the dappled light of the rainforest here you can truly relax in nature.
mist at Cape Tribulation has supplied light weight deck chairs for each pavilion to take to any location on the property, whether its sunshine, palm shade or rainforest seclusion you desire, you can take your seating with you.
mist at Cape Tribulation is pet friendly, even our furry family need some time to relax in nature.
mist at Cape Tribulation prides itself on its soft touch on the environment and we know our guests will want to do the same. We are totally off grid, so we encourage our guests to minimise their power usage, we rely on solar power and embrace an eco-sustainable lifestyle in the rainforest.
The light-filled contemporary pavilions offer a kitchenette, full-size fridge offering a welcoming bottle of champagne, beer, cheeses and a breakfast pack, a king size bed with luxurious Belgian linen and a selection of pillows. The pavilions have an air-conditioning unit and ceiling fans inside and outside on the spacious deck. ‘mist at Cape Tribulation offers you one of the most relaxed, peaceful holidays you will ever experience’, says Lilian. She recommends you bring food for a few days that can be cooked in the hooded barbecue on the deck or if it’s a break from cooking you’re after there are plenty of eateries in the Daintree.
The pavilions nestle at the foot of Mount Sorrow where the mist shrouds the top of the mountain hence its appropriate name of mist. Its location offers a superb adventure for experienced, fit walkers. Allow 6 hours, take plenty of water, and expect to be rewarded with rainforest-clad mountains, spectacular views of Cape Tribulation Beach, fringing reef and the stunning Coral Sea.
For your adventurous spirit, we recommend you bring a pair of closed toe shoes to walk the rainforest, and because it is the rainforest you may need a light rain jacket. It’s never cold here, but you might want to stay dry, obviously weather dependent.
