Tucked away in the tropical Far North of Queensland, the Daintree Rainforest feels like a world away from metropolitan Australia. Crossing the Daintree River you’ll wave goodbye to your everyday life, as you slow down and let nature’s pace take over.
Amazingly, the gateway to the Daintree is only an hour’s drive from Cairns and its international airport. Another hour or so on the stunning drive northwards from the Daintree River and you’ll arrive in Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef.

- Nature encounters – Birdwatching, river wildlife and botany
- Peaceful seclusion – Meditation, yoga and mindfulness
- Local cuisine – Tropical fruits, locally grown tea and coffee, fresh seafood
mist at Cape Tribulation is the perfect base for exploring the wider Daintree National Park region, from here it’s possible to take the 4WD Bloomfield Track north towards Cooktown and the Cape York Peninsula. Inland from Cape Tribulation are several treks and guided walks into the rainforest for those seeking to experience life amongst the trees.
